The wood of an olive tree has fine pores and is one of the heaviest and hardest woods in the world. Therefore, olive wood is perfect for culinary use and observation, because the wood assumes no odors and bacteria. Its grain is unique and formed during the very slow growth up to 1000 years. The trees here can reach a height of 10 to 20 meters. In many mediterranean countries, the craft of olive woodworking has a tradition of centuries. Prior to further processing to any of our products, the olive wood is dried and stored for a long time. It gets its smooth, slightly shiny surface and individual texture because of the professional editing. After using, olive wood is easy to maintain. Just wash the wood with a bit water and dish liquid and let it dry afterwards.  (Please not on a heater). To get back the shiny texture and to prevent drying the wood should be rubbed regularly with olive oil or sunflower oil to prevent drying.
